Red Hat® Academy provides a curriculum to help education institutions keep pace with the demands of the industry. The Red Hat Academy Student Ambassador Program is an initiative by Red Hat to empower students passionate about open source technology. As an ambassador, you act as a liaison between Red Hat and your academic institution, promoting open source, organizing events, and encouraging student participation. The program offers networking opportunities, access to resources, and a chance to develop leadership skills while contributing to the open source community.
In collaboration with Electromech Cloudtech Pvt Ltd, the Institute of Computer Technology at Ganpat University celebrated Red Hat Day on 9th February 2023. The event featured a warm welcome speech by Souhardya Sarkar, the Red Hat Academy Student Ambassador, followed by informative talks on Red Hat Academy and its certifications by Mrs. Krishna Patadia, Linux Faculty at Electromech. The day included certificate distribution, the launch of the Red Hat Student Community, and engaging activities such as a Logo Quiz and a technical quiz on Linux and Open Source Technologies. Mr. Nilesh Vaghela, Founder of ElectroMech Cloudtech, conducted a lucky draw, adding to the excitement of the event.
Semester 7 students who are in the verge of placement was introduced to the Red Hat Talent Network. Being a part of the Red Hat Academy, our students exclusively get the benefit of joining the RHA TN and also avail internships or job opportunities from more than 189 companies who are registered in the RHA TN platform.
The Institute of Computer Technology at Ganpat University, in collaboration with Red Hat Academy, organized an event to introduce Semester 1 students to the benefits and certifications offered by Red Hat Academy, bridging the gap between education and industry. The event, led by Red Hat Academy Student Ambassador Souhardya Sarkar and RHA Instructor Prof. Kunal Garud, commenced with a warm welcome to guests including Mr. Nilesh Vaghela, CEO of Electromech Cloudtech Pvt. Ltd., accompanied by Mrs. Dimple Vaghela and Priti Shah. Dr. Rohit Patel, the esteemed Principal, encouraged students to pursue their technological passions. The RHA SA detailed Red Hat Academy's advantages, followed by Mrs. Dimple Vaghela explaining membership pricing and certification benefits. Mr. Nilesh Vaghela highlighted cutting-edge technologies and the significance of Linux in IT. A quiz engaged students, with 8 winners receiving Red Hat swags, concluding with a gratitude note from Prof. Kunal Garud
A workshop on Container and Openshift with course id DO101 was done for the students of Semester 7 CBA (Batch 2019). The training was conducted by Mr. Nilesh Vaghela [founder and CEO at Electromech Cloudtech] along with our college faculty Prof. Rahul Shrimali. The students gained knowledge on creating containerized applications on cloud platforms and deploying them using Red Hat's Openshift Platform.
The session was organized by Mr. Souhardya Sarkar, the Red Hat Academy Student Ambassador (RHA SA), and featured officials from Electromech Cloudtech who were invited to introduce the students of Batch 2022, in their first year of college, to the Red Hat Academy. The purpose of the session was to provide an introduction to the Red Hat Academy program and its benefits.
